seyonってページを見たところXベースのプログラムみたいですが、もしかして
ktermで使うというオプション(-noemulator)だかをつけると大丈夫なのかな。

Ｃ−Kermitは2002年になってVersion 8.0.201とかでてます。まだ開発されてた
んですね。

ところで、私はもしかしてとってもおバカなことを考えていたのかも知れません。
kermitでhelp set terminalとかすると、

SET TERMINAL TYPE ...
  This command is not available because this version of Kermit does not
  include a terminal emulator.  Instead, it is a "semitransparent pipe"
  (or a totally transparent one, if you configure it that way) to the
  computer or service you have made a connection to.  Your console,
  workstation window, or the terminal emulator or terminal from which you
  are running Kermit provides the emulation.

だそうです。
そう、私が使っているvtnはvt100エミュレータなので、接続先のコンピュータか
らのデータを受け付けてvt100として表示することができるのでした。
だから、おそらく正しいシリアルポートの制御をするだけで端末エミュレータソ
フトとか探す必要なく、シリアルインストール用端末になるんじゃないかな・・・
