名前から見ると、/var/mail/$USER などのローカルスプールのファイルを直接
監視して到着を検出するというタイプのものでしょうか。
9.0のデフォルトでは/var/spool/mail/$USER のようですね。SunOS用？
メールサーバになっているマシンじゃないと使えないかな。
